A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, representing Gaya/Ajingi constituency, Danladi Isah Kademi of the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) was on Friday shot dead in Kano State, North West Nigeria.
Mr Kademi was said to have been killed by some unknown gunmen at his uncompleted guest house in Hotoron Maradun area of Kano State.

Eyewitnesses told local reporters that the member enters the house not quiet long before his assassination.

“They (the assailants) were on motorcycle and I think they must have been following him from somewhere,” a witness said.

The witnesses also confirmed that Mr Kademi was the only one in the house at the time of the incident.

Confirming the incident, the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Magaji Musa Majiya said “this evening some two unknown gunmen met Alhaji Danladi Isah Kademi at his uncompleted guest house in Hotoron Maradun, shot him dead and escape.”

He said investigation into the matter is on-going.

Mr Kademi was elected as a member of the Kano State House of Assembly for the second time and was a former Chairman Gaya local government area of the state.
