Peace was again shattered in Kano in the early hours of Saturday, when multiple explosions rocked the city.
The explosions, which were accompanied by sporadic shooting, occurred at about 7am in the Hotoro area of the metropolis forcing residents to remains indoors.
A source who craved anonymity said that sporadic gunshots were still being heard in the area, sequel to more than three explosions.
“Even people that are 10 kilometers away can hear the gunshots. Many residents and business owners here sense serious danger because the gunshots and explosions are still being heard,” the source said.
Hotoro, mostly populated by Muslims, is also an area where Christians from the southern part of Nigeria reside in the northern state.
The Saturday morning explosions and shootings occurred barely six days after a motor park explosion killed 22 people and injured 65 others on Monday.

What is happening in this country? Is it still wise for us to remain one nation when we do not want our selves. God deliver us from this!
