It is being reported that two explosions have gone off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Sources say that the explosions occurred in multiple buildings.
Witnesses say dozens of people are seriously injured, after two powerful blasts detonated near the finish line.
Witnesses are posting images of the chaos on Twitter as blood and smoke cover the entire scene.

UPDATE: 3:13 p.m. An explosion has been reported at 671 Boylston Street.
Approximately one dozen people have been confirmed to be hurt, but others estimate that dozens more have been injured. People have lost limbs due to the explosion.
UPDATE: 3:16 p.m. There have been no confirmed fatalities.
UPDATE: 3:30 p.m. A bystander has just reported to us that she saw people lose their limbs from two loud bombs.
UPDATE: 3:38 p.m. There are approximately 20-30 ambulances on the scene.
UPDATE: 3:40 p.m. An eyewitness is telling us that she believes it was a bomb that went off.
Update: 3:47 p.m.: FBI on scene because they’re worried there might more planted, 2 explosions one at 637 Boylston which they’ve evacuated all of Boylston at this point.
UPDATE: 4:04 p.m. CNN is reporting at least 2 people are dead, Boston confirms that the expositions were caused by bombs.
UPDATE: 4:10 p.m. The White House is on lockdown out of precautionary measures. President Obama has been notified of the incident. Washington, D.C. is under a heightened security alert.
Officials say police have recovered a third bomb that did not detonate and have evacuated the area.
