Are Duchess Kate and Prince William having a baby boy? That’s what U.K. media reports believe. The source? An overly excited uncle-to-be, Prince Harry, who is apparently gushing the secret to friends according to reports.
A source told The Mirror that: “Harry has been telling everyone Wills and Kate are having a boy and how thrilled he is at the prospect of having a little nephew.”
The royal couple has been quiet about the gender of their baby, and have no comment about The Mirror’s report that they are having a boy.
Royal watchers may want to take the reports with a grain of salt — just a few months ago the U.K. press was in a tizzy about Kate expecting a girl.
This after she was given a teddy bear from a ‘well-wisher’ and was heard saying: “I’ll take that for my d–“ before stopping herself.
Many like to speculate that Kate hesitated before accidentally saying “daughter,” but she was apparently determined to confuse admirers because days later, the royal couple purchased a pale blue Bugaboo stroller.
Of course, this was interpreted as a sign to the baby’s gender, rather than a fashion statement.
So far, all that the palace has confirmed for sure is that Kate isn’t having twins. May we suggest that royal watchers waiting for Kate’s July due date buy their presents in gender-neutral colours? Yellow or green are always nice.
