Straight out of parts unknown, Kane has been terrorizing the WWE for two decades. Now, Glenn Jacobs is potentially looking to step out of the ring and into Congress.
The former World Heavyweight Champion and current Tag Team Champion is said to be looking to supersede Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander, who has held the position since 2003.
We don’t think Jacobs will utilize his patented Chokeslam or Tombstone Piledriver, as the self-proclaimed Libertarian will likely slam Alexander on issues including taxes.
The Libertarian paper Reason broke the story, saying Jacobs may run against Alexander in the 2014 primary. It will be interesting to see if this will turn into an on-screen storyline on WWE programming.
This isn’t the first time wrestling and politics have crossed paths, as Jesse “The Body” Ventura served as the 38th Governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003, while Linda McMahon attempted (unsuccessfully) to run for U.S. Senate in Connecticut in 2010 and 2012.
Will Kane raise his arms and trigger pyrotechnics to go off during rallies? That would be badass!
