Jose Mourinho has reportedly arrived in London for Chelsea talks just one day after his final match as Real Madrid coach.
The Portuguese, who has made no secret of his desire to return to England, is set to rejoin Chelsea, the club he coached from 2004-07.
And several British media outlets claimed the ex-Internazionale and Porto boss was spotted arriving at a London airport around 15 hours after Real beat Osasuma 4-2 in his swansong for the Liga giants.
Chelsea are looking for a coach after interim boss Rafael Benitez left for Napoli, while Mourinho agreed to step down as Real boss following a trophyless season.
Madrid president Florentino Perez admitted that Mourinho was set to return to Stamford Bridge, where he is hugely popular after leading the West London club to two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cups.
The Premier League accidentally jumped the gun on Mourinho’s Chelsea return, briefly publishing a part-written news story that had clearly been prepared in anticipation of Chelsea re-signing him.
