The Twitter account for the Kenyan military has been hacked for the second time, hours after it was restored late Monday. Barely two hours after Twitter intervened and restored the account, the Anonymous Group of hackers claimed fresh control.

Also affected again was the Twitter account for KDF's Liaison Officer Major Emmanuel Chirchir.
The group also claimed to have hacked various government department websites but a number of those claimed were operating as usual.

The hackers have continued to post insults and offensive material on the account that was being used by the military to update the public on the progress made in Somalia where its soldiers are fighting Al Shabaab militants.

By Tuesday morning, the police had not been able to identify the individual or individuals involved in the hacking.

The hacker's account @Anon_0x03 was also still operational with the tweets shifting from retweets of stories done on the KDF Twitter account hacking back to pro-Palestine tweets on Gaza.
On Monday, KDF Spokesman Bogita Ongeri told Capital FM News that in addition to trying to regain control of the accounts, they were working with the police to apprehend the hackers.
