Forces loyal to Alshabaab attacked Hodan District Police Station in Mogadishu and the Ministry of Defence.
Also, an assassination happened near Sey Biyaano where one soldier was killed and another escaped death but with serious wounds.
There was tension in the city earlier tonight as it is the eve of the 17th of Ramadan in the Islamic Calendar when Alshabaab commemorate the Battale of Badar which took place near Medina during the era of the prophet in which warriors led by prophet Mohamed, peace and blessing be upon him defeated Qureysh attackers from Mecca.
In previous Ramadans Alshabaab increased attacks on this date in remembrance of that battle.
The causality figures of these attacks are not known yet.
