Pastor Dimgba Igwe, Vice Chairman of the Sun Newspapers was knocked down by a vehicle while jogging around his residence in the Okota area of Lagos on Saturday morning.
He was immediately taken to the hospital where he underwent surgical emergency. He however died afterwards.
Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, the Chairman of The Sun Publishing Limited described the day as the darkest day in the history of the organization.
Pastor Igwe, a reputable journalist worked at the Concord Newspaper earlier in his career, pioneering the Weekend Concord. He was 58.
