In a stunning occurrence in United States, President Barack Obama was directed to stay away from a girl who was casting her vote in Chicago for the November 4 midterm elections, reported the local sources.
Yes, we are not joking! According to the reports, a jealous boyfriend names Jones, who was also casting his vote, asked Obama not to touch his girlfriend.
The girl namely Cooper was standing right beside the President at the Martin Luther King Junior community centre in Chicago on Monday.
However, he said it jokingly, but yet it stunned almost everyone present there. The man said to Obama, “Mr. President, don’t touch my girlfriend.” Replying in the same witty manner, the president replied, “I really wasn’t planning on it.” Cooper’s beau’s joke had clearly embarrassed her and he immediately apologized to President for his behavior. She told Obama that she knew that he was about to say something but didn’t know what.
Later, Jones also clarified his stand over the remarks, saying that the atmosphere in the voting arena was so quite that he thought he had to do something to make people laugh. So, he took this step. Mr. President didn’t take the joke in either way and after casting his vote gave Cooper a friendly hug and a kiss on the cheek. Barack Obama surprised everyone as he paid a surprise visit to the community centre on Monday morning.
The centre is located near his previous house where he used to dwell before being elected the President of United States in 2008.
