Twenty-five orphan girls, aged between 20 and 28 years old, have been married in Blida (50-km south of Algiers) in a mass wedding ceremony held Tuesday evening by Kafil El Yatim charitable organization.
The wedding ceremony, featuring traditional female singers from Algiers, was organized at the Palais El Andalous festival hall in Ouled Yaich, Blida, attended by the parent of the brides and grooms and a great number of guests, including the benefactors and journalists.
Earlier, a procession of the twenty-five couples made a ride through the streets of Blida, with a stream of cars adorned with colourful flowers, before stopping at the festival hall and the ceremony starts.
In addition to the ceremony, each bride got a trousseau, valued at DZD150,000, according to Tirouche Nabila, Kafil El Yatim charity's communication officer. The operation was funded by benefactors.
