Namibia Gets First Female Prime Minister

Foreign Affairs Minister Netumbo Ndaitwah has also been appointed as the new deputy prime minister of the South-west African country.

Geingob said the new appointments would be endorsed by parliament after which the new appointees would be sworn in in their new positions.

Geingob is set to be sworn in as Namibia's third president on March 21 after a landslide victory in Parliamentary and Presidential elections held in November last year.
