Nigeria: Fani Kayode Reacts to Calls To Probe Goodluck Jonathan

Nigeria's former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the call to probe former president Goodluck Jonathan.

Nigeria's former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the call to probe former president Goodluck Jonathan.

He condemned calls for the EFCC to arrest and probe former President Goodluck Jonathan.

According to him Jonathan had done nothing to warrant being arrested and that those calling for his arrest and interrogation should understand the implications of doing so.

“For example, Senator Ndume called for Jonathan’s arrest. This is a shameful and unnecessary contribution and if Ndume feels that Jonathan has done anything wrong, he should present the evidence to the authorities and the public, rather than try to demonise the man.

“Even where mistakes have been made, I am a strong believer in loyalty and I will stand by the man that I campaigned for during the presidential election, who is also now the leader of our party. Jonathan should be treated with respect and dignity at all times and he should always be given the benefit of the doubt.”

  1. Those calling for Jonathan to be arrested should know that they are calling for the wrath of Jehovah. Nobody should touch that man. May God continue to bless Jonathan. If not for Jonathan's love for this country, Nigeria may not be together by today. Si let's be careful and leave Jonathan alone.

  2. If the government wants to be sincere to the country, probing should start with pmb to OBJ,to babangida, to atiku to PGEJ. In my opinion this should be the right process.
