Nigeria: Housewife and boyfriend sentenced to death by hanging

An Ebonyi State High Court in Nigeria on Thursday, May 5 sentenced a housewife, Josephine Onwuzuruike and her boyfriend, Ekene Onyeka, to be put to death by hanging.



They were reported to have butchered the housewife’s husband in 2008 and kept his parts in a cupboard.

Onwuzuruike had accused her husband of attempting to marry another wife by building a separate house for her elsewhere in Nigeria.

The fraught housewife felt slighted and contacted Onyeka, her boyfriend who helped her to commit the abominable crime.
