Nigerian champions Enyimba will face Zamalek in the group stages of the Caf Champions League having been drawn together in Group B.
The People's Elephants will also face ES Setif of Algeria and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa as they look to plot a way through to the knockout stages for the third African crown.
Meanwhile eight-time champions Al Ahly will take on Asec Mimosas, Zesco United and Wydad Casablanca in Group A .
The People's Elephants host the Egyptians in their first game of the competition on 17 June 2016.
The Nigerian champions have also won the African title twice when they achieved a back-to-back feat in 2003 and 2004.
This is the seventh time the Aba club will play in the group stage of the competition after reaching the last eight in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2011.
Each group is played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The winners and runners-up of each group advance to the semi-finals.
