Olymique Lyon’s Algerian winger Rachid Ghezzal is the subject of intense speculation over a proposed move to the Premier League.
The Fennec Foxes star rejected the chance to join Everton earlier this week because the club doesn’t offer him the chance to play European football. This was despite Lyon and the Toffees reportedly agreeing on a £9.5million fee.
Lyon president Jean-Micahel Aulas told RMC: "Ghezzal is a brilliant, kind and intelligent young player who managed a wonderful half a season last year (with Lyon) before receiving a very high proposal from Everton.
"The transfer that has been accepted and is an interesting one for the club, but he has refused the offer even while it would have allowed him to multiply his earnings for last year by 20."
Now the likes of Arsenal, West Ham United and Southampton have all been linked with a move for the player, whose contract with Lyon will lapse at the end of the season.
The Ligue 1 club is expected to offer the Algerian an extension to his current deal, unless one of the Premier League offers tempts him to leave Stade de Lyon before the end of the transfer window.
