Ghana: Gospel artistes use voodoo to outwit colleagues

A highlife musician has bemoaned a supposed personal hatred among gospel musicians in Ghana.


According to Dada Kwaku Duah, who was speaking on Accra-based radio stations, Ultimate FM, this alleged hatred and in-fighting are killing the gospel music industry.

He claimed that the jealousy and hypocrisy that has found its way into the Ghanaian gospel music scene had left some artistes resorting to voodoo to outwit their colleagues.

Dada Kwaku Duah claims the situation has become more pronounced that lifestyles of these musicians are not in conformity with the teachings of Christ.

“Why will a gospel musician take the audio CD of his colleague and take it to a Mallam“, he quizzed.

According to him, despite the fact that most gospel musicians are singing Gospel music, they resort to carnal acts to gain momentum ahead of their colleagues.

“They claim they are preaching the word of God, but there is a jealous attitude among themselves which can never make them win any best artist of the year till the world comes to an end” he noted.
