Kenyan pastor slumps, dies on the altar

There was shock and confusion when a 44-year-old Kenyan pastor died during church service in Kanduyi, Bungoma County.


Pastor Caleb Sifuna of the Free Salvation Life Ministries slumped and died at the altar while preparing to deliver his sermon, according to a report by TUKO.co.ke.

He was said to have been rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The pastor had reportedly been ill for some time and had been set to give his first sermon.

The church bishop paid glowing tribute to Pastor Sifuna, describing him as "a trusted and dedicated servant of God".

"We can only praise the Lord for we know He had good plans for him. The church is mourning but we know that God knows better,” he said.
