Man batters wife with chain for being on whatsapp
A woman was whipped until she fainted for joining a WhatsApp group.

Mejury Zvigere (32) was whipped by husband Tyron Ndebele (27) with a bicycle chain until she collapsed. Ndebele pleaded guilty to a domestic violence charge. Bulawayo magistrate Mrs Adelaide Mbeure remanded Ndebele in custody to Friday.
Zvigere told the court that her husband took her phone pretending that he wanted to make a phone call.
“He said he wanted to make a phone call. Then he asked me why I was part of a WhatsApp group. I explained to him that my neighbour is the one who had created it and added me.
He hit me with a bicycle chain all over my body. He repeatedly stomped on me. I sustained a deep cut on my middle finger and bruises on my left leg. I fell unconscious during the assault,” she said.
