Algeria Name Mahrez, Slimani, Brahimi For Nigeria Tie

Algeria have named a strong squad for their Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying fixture against Nigeria.


Top on the list of the 18 foreign- based stars released by newly appointed head coach of the Fennecs, Georges Leekens, on Tuesday  are Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani.

Leekens also extended invitation to Bordeaux of France forward, Adam Ounas, who recently pledged his allegiance to the North Africans after representing France at youth level.

Also included in the list are regulars like Sofiane Feghouli, Yacine Brahimi and Nabil Bentaleb.

The Belgian trainer is also expected to add five local based to the squad after the Algerian Super Cup clash.
